Technological advancements has surely been a marvel in all of human history with its drastic improvement ever since the first computer came to existence, computers have not only reduced in size to even fit in the palm of your hands, but their internal components, especially the processor has had dramatic improvements, from processors the size of lightbulbs to ones that can barely be a centimeter long but can person quadrillion times more than before.

Ever since Apple decided to manufacture their own chipsets, we have clearly seen their ambitious goals come to pass. Their bionics chips have not only pioneered in enormous processing speeds never before seen on any smartphone but have also led to a resurgence in the “processor wars”, where various processor manufactures are striving to beat Apple at their own game. As is the norm , no one has really beaten them yet but Qualcomm, an American processor manufacturing company recently released their new smartphone chipset , the Snapdragon 865 Plus, which almost matched up to the already famous A14 Bionic chip.
I could go on all day saying how Apples’s processor is the better, but lets focus on what it can do:
- Have amazing performance – This is surely an understatement because its clearly a power house. With more than 10 billion transistors in one tiny single chip, that measures less than a centimeter, it can clearly accomplish all tasks a smartphone can do with less effort, from playing games to surfing on the internet, or texting your family and friends. Multitasking will also be easily possible hence making the phone as user friendly as a phone can be.
- Over the top machine learning engine built in – With high performance available, Artificial Intelligence installed on the device, in this case siri, will have an easy time gathering information, and learning from its users easily.
- Better battery performance – being so small, it means less power is drawn by it, hence less power usage on phone, enabling phones to stay longer, hence making this chip one of the most efficient in the market.
Conclusion
Clearly technology is advancing more than our understanding of it, everyday computers become a million times better , faster and efficient. This is clear proof that we have come far, and just like the technology now was not even imaginable 20 years ago, we still have a long way to go with lots of surprises coming our way, especially with companies like Neuralink that are trying to merge a processor with a human brains, soon computers will be part of us.
